About the Seminar

The Seminar/Workshop was organized by the CCOP Technical Secretariat in cooperation with PETRAD and Indonesia’s Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources through the Geological Agency Indonesia and Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB). The aims are to enhance the knowledge of the participants on the role of CCS in mitigating the impact of GHG to climate changes, assessment of potential geological storage of CO2 and to prepare the participants for their important role as a case study country in the CCOP CO2 Storage Mapping Program (CCS-M).

The Seminar is funded by the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Jakarta with 45 registered participants.  The participants are from ITB, Geological Agency, PERTAMINA, LEMIGAS, Directorate MIGAS and from the private sector.  The resource persons were from Statoil, Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD), International Research Institute Stavanger (IRIS) and Innovation Norway- RNE Tokyo, all leading Norwegian agencies dealing with CCS.  A usb flash disk containing all the documents of the Seminar was distributed free to 26 the participants with complete attendance.
